i think this is a much better bluetooth device than the first one. I have tried out about 4 different bluetooth devices and so far this one has the clearest sound from them all. It can be a bit flimsy at times, but not enough to where it really bothers me. The sound quality is great and I don't have problems connecting. I use this with my Verizon iPhone 4.

AT&T sells this device and says that it is compatible with iphone 4s but it is not. Do not buy it for this phone as it will not work right.
